In his earlier years, Sal ran an ice cream truck in New York and New Jersey. Sal and his wife Nancy moved to Sanford in the late 90's and, “immediately fell in love with the city and it's people.”  They recognized a need in their new hometown for Italian ice and gelati. So, after more than three years of planning, the doors were opened in 2006. 

Sal envisioned a family friendly destination, where even the largest of families could enjoy a treat and not spend a lot of money. And he wanted the business to reflect his own family's strong Christian values. So the entire menu is value priced, and the atmosphere is one where families can come and enjoy an old-fashioned treat in a safe and healthy environment.

Sal's offers Italian Ice, ice cream (hard and soft), gelatis, sundaes, and much more. (Click here to view the extensive Sal's menu.) With the addition of sugar-free items, even diabetics can enjoy a refreshing sweet treat.

Community Involvement

Sal's has also been a member of the Sanford Chamber of Commerce since 2006.  We are also proud sponsors of numerous community events and we support Seminole County Schools.
